NY's JFK Airport terminal reopened
NEW YORK — A terminal at New York City's John F. Kennedy Airport has been reopened after being evacuated due to a suspicious bag.
American Airlines Terminal 8 was shut down as a precaution after an unattended bag was found in the business class lounge at 7:40 a.m. Monday. Steve Coleman of the Port Authority, which runs the airport, says it reopened at 9 a.m.
The black briefcase-type bag apparently had almost nothing in it.
The rest of the airport remained open.
