N. Aurora man charged with sex assault
A North Aurora man is being held in jail on $100,000 bond after being charged with multiple offenses including aggravated criminal sexual assault and endangering the health/life of a child, authorities said.
Richard Mario Distasio, 56, was arrested Friday by North Aurora police on an indictment by a Kane County grand jury, said Kane County Adult Justice Center officer Randy Hughes.
Distasio was charged with two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, a class X felony; four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault, a class I felony; three counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, a class II felony; one count of sexual exploitation of a child, a class A misdemeanor; two counts of unlawful contributing to criminal delinquency of a juvenile; and two counts of endangering the health/life of a child, Hughes said.
No other information was available Saturday.
Distasio has a Friday, July 29, court date at the Kane County Judicial Center.
