Does Barrington lag in old-age planning?
“Most communities are behind in planning for their aging populations,” says Carol Morello (syndicated column published June 27).
Barrington has four senior residences for a small population. I was told by their aging group there were no geriatric doctors in the community. Also, they had to admit, after I had contributed money several times, they don’t take care of loners. They all have to go to a senior residence! Falls, accidents, not right medicine can get scary.
