Wheeling Parks offers softball tournament Aug. 6

Registration is being accepted for the Wheeling Park District Summer Sizzle Softball Tournament to be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 6 at Heritage Park.

Both a men's 16-inch tournament and men's 12-inch tournament is planned for those 18 years of age and older.

The one-day tourney follows Amateur Softball Association (ASA) rules and a double-elimination format.

Prize money is awarded for first ($200) and second ($100) place. Registration is $100 per team. Food and refreshments are available for purchase at the tournament. In case of inclement weather, the tournament will take place on Sunday, Aug. 7.
