Car damaged in Glen Ellyn garage fire
Glen Ellyn fire officials are trying to figure out the cause of a fire Sunday in a detached two-car garage on the 600 block of Euclid.
Firefighters from the Glen Ellyn Volunteer Fire Company responded to the blaze at 12:23 p.m. and found heavy smoke and fire pouring out of the garage, located behind the house.
The fire was quickly extinguished, with fire departments from Wheaton, Lombard and Lisle, Woodridge and York Center assisting on the call.
The surrounding houses sustained minimal damage, but one vehicle inside the garage was badly burned, fire officials said.
No injuries were reported, and no damage estimate was given.
