Buffalo Grove arranges food waste disposal
Buffalo Grove has collaborated with Waste Management to provide a special garbage service to all Buffalo Grove residents today, Friday, July 15, for residents who have lost perishable food due to spoilage and as a result of the recent power outage.
Residents should place their food refuse in a closed bag and drop it off at the Public Service Center between the hours of 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The drop off location is at the northeast corner of Lake-Cook and Raupp Boulevard, in the rear lot.
If you have not been impacted by the power outages, please wait until your normal pick up day to place refuse at the curb. Waste Management will not be collecting recycling or yard waste for this special service. No waste other than spoiled food items will be accepted. If you have any questions, call the village at (847) 459-2500.
