Grandmother charged with giving baby fatal drugs

MILWAUKEE — A Milwaukee grandmother is charged with reckless homicide in the drug death of her 10-month-old grandson.

A criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County says 46-year-old Lisa Humphrey was babysitting her grandson and other children last April and fed the infant a bottle with morphine and oxycodone.

The Journal Sentinel reports (http://bit.ly/p07q6b ) Humphrey allegedly told police she didn't know how the drugs got in the baby bottle. The body of Royality Sanders was found April 28, the morning after the infant shared a mattress with Humphrey and his 2-year-old sister.
