Body recovered in Milwaukee park pond
MILWAUKEE — Authorities have recovered the body of a man who disappeared in a pond in a Milwaukee park.
The Milwaukee County sheriff's office reports deputies responded to a call at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday about a man jumping into the pond in Mitchell Park.
Witnesses said a man walked into the pond and disappeared into the water. A police dive team recovered the body of the 45-year-old man about an hour later.
Authorities did not immediately release the identity of the man on Wednesday. The death is under investigation.
