Chicago Sky game day

Chicago Sky at Phoenix Mercury, 9 p.m. Friday at US Airways Center

TV: Comcast CN100

Last time: On Tuesday, the Sky lost to the visiting San Antonio Silver Stars, 84-74 and the Mercury lost to the host Indiana Fever, 91-86.

Scouting the Sky: Chicago (4-5) needs to bring track shoes in order to out-run the Mercury (4-4), as well as its two-game slide. Phoenix ranks second in the WNBA in scoring at 90 points per game. The Mercury defeated the Sky at Allstate Arena on Saturday, 86-78. Over the last 11 days, the Sky has lost four of its last five games. The Sky’s two most recent losses included soft fourth quarters.

A bright spot for the Sky against San Antonio was the play of reserve guard Erin Thorn, who scored 14 points, including 2 three-pointers.

Scouting the Mercury: Phoenix, which boasts a three-headed monster in Diana Taurasi, Candice Dupree and Penny Taylor, had won four straight before its loss to Indiana on Tuesday.

Next: Washington Mystics at Sky, 7 p.m. Tuesday
