Become a sponsor for Batavia fest
Windmill City Festival is Batavia’s largest annual event, bringing in more than 10,000 visitors during the two-and-a-half day event.
This year’s event will be July 8-10 on the Batavia Riverwalk at Houston Street and Island Avenue. The festival features a carnival, 5K race, bags tournament, pet parade, live entertainment on the Main Stage, food and beer garden, and more.
The festival is the ideal marketing platform for capturing the Tri-Cities family market and offers several lucrative opportunities to provide businesses and nonprofit groups as much exposure as possible.
The Batavia Park District is offering businesses the opportunity to become a part of the action as a 2011 Windmill City Festival sponsor. Businesses can choose from four different categories of sponsorship to fit their needs: Windmill Whirl 5K Race Sponsor, Business Exhibitor, Festival Sponsor and Exclusive Festival Sponsor.
Windmill Whirl 5K Race sponsors will receive their logo on race T-shirts and promotional materials distributed to more than 250 runners. Race sponsors will also be able to set up a booth before and after the event, which will be at 7 p.m. Friday, July 8. A race sponsorship is $250.
Business exhibitors will have a reserved 10- by 10-foot booth space Friday through Sunday, July 8-10, with 100 percent sales rights. Businesses must provide their own tent, chairs and signage. The cost for a business showcase vendor is $950.
If you’re looking to get the most bang for your buck, consider becoming a Festival Sponsor for $1,200. Sponsors will receive two 10-by 10-foot booth spaces with 100 percent sales rights, as well as their name and logo on the Main Stage banner, promotional materials and mention in news releases.
Festival sponsors also will be listed as a Windmill Whirl 5K Run Sponsor and receive their logo on race T-shirts and on promotional materials distributed to the runners. Other perks include a name tie-in to an entertainer or attraction, first right of renewal to sponsor the same event for 2012 and inclusion of promotional materials in runner goody bags and Pet Parade doggy bags.
The highest level of sponsorship is the Exclusive Festival Sponsor for $3,500. It includes all benefits of a Festival Sponsor with the added bonus of being the primary and exclusive business of your designated specialty on-site at the festival.
The Batavia Park District is extending an offer to local nonprofit groups to be part of the festival by setting up an informational booth at no charge. Groups will be provided a 10-by-10-foot booth space and the opportunity to raise funds.
The 2011 Windmill City Festival Pet Parade will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 9. The Batavia Park District is currently seeking pet-friendly businesses or organizations to be part of the parade by providing prizes or promotional items for inclusion in the doggy bags distributed to Pet Parade participants.
