Benefit in Arlington Heights Sunday for girl who lost leg

A benefit for Destiny, a 5-year-old girl who lost her leg in March in her cul-de-sac after being struck by a tow truck, is being held from 1-7 p.m. Sunday, June 26, at Murphy’s of Arlington Heights, 1609 W. Campbell St. People are welcome to drop in any time for the music and food, for which a $5 donation is requested, and to buy raffle tickets for donated items ranging from a welder, to a golf outing, to theater tickets. The event was organized by Cathy Sacomano of Hoffman Estates for her great niece, who lives in Hollywood, Fla., but who will be present. Many of Destiny’s relatives live in the area.
