Wis. gov to convene reading task force

MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Scott Walker is scheduled to convene his Read to Lead Task Force in far western Wisconsin.

Walker and the rest of the task force are set to meet around midmorning Friday at the public library in Onalaska.

The task force is part of Walker's effort to ensure every Wisconsin child can read by third grade. The group, which includes Department of Public Instruction Superintendent Tony Evers and several legislators, held its first meeting in Madison in April.
