Boot camp for Elk Grove teen burglar

A 17-year-old Elk Grove Village man pleaded guilty Thursday to being part of a rash local car burglaries last year.

Alex Pejcinovic was sentenced to the state’s boot camp program, after which he will serve two years probation, as part of a plea deal in which he admitted to one count of burglary.

He was arrested in January, along with three other teens, in connection with a batch of burglaries that took place from Nov. 4 to Dec. 1. Pejcinovic admitted to taking a GPS unit from an unlocked 2010 Dodge Avenger.

He faced a maximum three to seven years in prison.
