Support annual summer blood drive July 13

LOMBARD, Illinois— It's time for the Village of Lombard annual summer blood drive!

The summer blood drive will be held on July 13 and for the convenience of donors, blood drives will be held at two locations throughout the day: Yorktown Center and the Lombard Village Hall.

Donors may visit Yorktown Center from 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. and donate blood inside the mall, near the upper level of JC Penney. Or, donors may visit the Lombard Village Hall from 1:30-7 p.m. and donate in the Community Room of Village Hall. All blood donors are reminded to bring a photo I.D. with them to donate blood.

This blood drive will be the third of four in the “Four Seasons” program offered by Heartland Blood Centers, whom the Village partners with for the blood drives. Donors of the summer blood drive will receive coupons for a free quart of Oberweis ice cream and a free pint of Culver's frozen custard, as well as an entry into a drawing for one of two $50 gift cards to Yorktown Center. Blood donors at Village Hall will also be treated to free hot dogs, courtesy of Heartland Blood Centers.
