Chicago Bandits at Akron Racers, Thursday-Sunday at Firestone Stadium

Game times: 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday; 5 p.m. Sunday

Scouting the Bandits: Won three of four games against the USSSA Pride last weekend. Pitcher Taryne Mowatt left Sunday’s game with an apparent ankle injury, while rookie outfielder Megan Wiggins hit the first 2 home runs of her career in back-to-back games. The team will return to Rosemont Stadium to face the NPF Diamonds on June 30.

Scouting the Racers: Swept the NPF Diamonds in last weekend’s four-game series, including a 5-0 shutout in the first game. Lisa Norris, last year’s NPF Pitcher of the Year, returned to the team this season. The Racers and the Bandits both sit atop the league at 5-3.
