Union League officer named
Lake Forest resident Guy F. Arvia was recently elected first vice president of the Union League Club of Chicago. Established in 1879 in support of the federal Union, the Club takes an active role in the public, civic, cultural and philanthropic affairs of the Chicago metropolitan area. Arvia, a League member since 1986, is an expert in computer technology solutions and equipment financing. He formerly owned Comtech Group and Computer Technologies Leasing and currently is a business consultant. Union League members have been credited with playing important roles in establishing many of Chicago’s cultural organizations including the Art Institute of Chicago, Orchestra Hall, the Auditorium Theater and the Field Museum.
