KBR and Shell announce marketing alliance
NEW YORK — KBR Inc. and a unit of Royal Dutch Shell said Tuesday that they will work together to market technology for petroleum refineries.
The alliance between Houston-based KBR and Shell Global Solutions International B.V. will focus on "hydro-processing" technologies that refineries use to meet stringent product specifications and emissions laws. The agreement is effective immediately.
KBR shares added 62 cents, or 1.8 percent, to $35.06 and Shell's U.S. shares gained 69 cents to $69.39 in morning trading Tuesday.
