Jill Biden visits military families in Chicago

The second lady of the United State visited members of the Illinois Army National Guard this week.

Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden, visited soldiers and their families in Chicago on Wednesday and Thursday. The national guard says it was Biden’s first stop on a tour to support service members and their relatives called Joining Forces.

Biden says she and first lady Michelle Obama hope to reach out to as many military families as they can. While in Chicago the second lady attended a pizza party and Cubs game.

She also attended a meeting at the Chicago School of Psychology about providing emotional support for military families and soldiers.
