Benefit to aid children’s hospitals

The first Michelle Radke Benefit in Support of Children Miracle Network Hospitals is set for 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, June 19 at Austin’s Saloon and Eatery, 481 Peterson Road, Libertyville. The event will feature live music by popular local bands and auction items to include: a pig roast for up to 50 people; golf at Midland Golf Club; a RE/MAX hot air balloon ride; and, Cubs tickets. A $10 donation is requested. All funds raised at the event will benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. The benefit serves as a memorial to Michelle Radke, the daughter of Donna Radke and sister of Jennifer, who organized the event. Michelle died at 29 in 1997 from complications of diabetes.
