Pornography charges filed against soccer coach

A youth soccer coach currently being held in the Will County Jail on child sex abuse charges has been hit with new charges of possessing child pornography.

Darrell J. Stephenson of Crest Hill was charged Thursday with three counts of aggravated possession of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Authorities say the 24-year-old Stephenson was a youth soccer coach in Frankfort, Plainfield and Joliet. He is accused of molesting a 12-year-old boy between September and November.

Stephenson was being held in lieu of $750,000 bail, with an additional $150,000 imposed Thursday because of the child pornography charges.

Authorities did not immediately say what led to the additional charges.
