Palatine police to conduct roadside safety check late Friday

The Palatine Police Department will conduct a roadside safety check late Friday and into early Saturday morning in the area of Algonquin and Roselle roads.

The initiative is part of the department’s Fourth of July Holiday Traffic Safety Crackdown. With grant funding from the Illinois Department of Transportation, officers will saturate roadways through July 4 to conduct traffic enforcement measures focusing on impaired drivers, occupant protection and speeding.
