Wis. Assembly begins debate of Walker's budget

MADISON, Wis. — A protester has interrupted the first Republican speech in defense of Gov. Scott Walker's two-year state budget during debate in the state Assembly.

As soon as Rep. Robin Vos began speaking Wednesday a protester in the front row of the Assembly gallery began reading a speech in opposition to the plan, saying the GOP refused to negotiate or listen to others when crafting the plan. She was removed from the gallery by state patrol officers.

About 100 people were watching the opening debate.

Vos resumed his speech after the person was removed.

Shortly after that another spectator was carried out of the gallery without saying anything. It wasn't immediately clear what led to that person's removal.
