Lake County Board takes pay cut

Lake County Board members on Tuesday agreed to reduce all their salaries to $40,945 a year starting in December 2012. Board members now make $44,074 or $40,945 annually, depending on when they were last elected. The board sets salaries every two years. Officials had originally proposed setting salaries at $43,750, but the proposal was amended to lower the pay for all the commissioners.
