Charges in Antioch home invasion
A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an Antioch home invasion in which a large amount of money was stolen, police said Tuesday.
Kevin Curtis was arrested June 10, one week after multiple offenders wearing dark clothing and their faces covered entered a home on the 1200 block of Main Street, police said.
Curtis, of the 300 block of Elmwood Drive, is charged with home invasion and armed robbery, both Class X felonies that carry a prison sentence of 6 to 30 years. He was also charged with criminal trespass to residence, which carries a prison sentence of one to three years. He is held on a $250,000 cash bond.
The victims where not harmed, but a large sum of money was taken from the house, police said in a news release.
When Curtis was arrested he had a large sum of money in his possession, that police believed to be from the home invasion.
Chief Craig Somerville would not comment further on the case, which is under investigation.
