Cellphone, auto makers can stop texting
I read your June 6 article warning not to text in construction areas and school areas. What about no texting anywhere in the U.S. while driving?
You can give all the warnings you want and nobody cares. The makers of all these cellphones couldn’t care less if people die every 23 seconds. These people can end texting altogether or install a chip that will not receive texting while in an automobile, truck, bus or motorcycle; or the auto industry can install a chip in the vehicle to stop any signal from coming into or around whatever is on the road.
The only people who care now are the ones who killed someone, and until that happens people will text, polish their nails, put on makeup, check if their shoes match or whatever else other than drive.
Wake up, America, it could be you next time — dead or killing someone.
