Banks insensitive to despositors

The May 15 Wall Street Journal Sunday section in the Daily Herald should be required reading for every high school and college student in America. The banking industry’s scam of their depositors should be published and brought to light on a regular, visible basis. The current rate of interest being offered on deposits and the outrageous fees charged on any kind of bank business (the Mafia could take lessons from these guys) are just legal forms of extortion being practiced on the public. The gambling casinos, racetracks and slot machines are more open, honest and considerate of their customers than the banks.
