Naperville police hunt vandals

Naperville police are looking for help in tracking down vandals who damaged three vehicles in the early morning hours of June 11 in the area of Wild Timothy, Pennyroyal Circle and Prairie Sage in the southwest part of the city.

Police say vandals used a sharp object, probably a key, to scratch three vehicles parked within a short distance of each other. Blue paint also was poured on one of the vehicles and a license plate was stolen.

One victim told police a black Scion TC, driven by a black male teen, was speeding in the area before the vandalism occurred.

Another victim said they saw a dark gray or dark silver SUV with four teens inside parked briefly on Pennyroyal Circle the evening before the vehicles were damaged.

Naperville Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,00 reward for information leading to an arrest. Callers to (630) 420-6006 may remain anonymous.
