Spirit Camp offers family fun at Holy Family June 20-24

From June 20 to June 24, 325 children, ages 4 years to fourth grade, will fill the campus of Holy Family Catholic Church in Inverness during their annual Spirit Camp.

Two hundred and twenty five volunteers will lead the enthusiastic campers in a variety of games, crafts, drama and song activities.

One of the highlights of the week is Thursday evening's Family Praise and Ice Cream Social.

Families gather in the church and the children showcase what they have learned during the week through songs and skits. Each year, funds are raised to support a family oriented charities.

This year, support will go to Alexian Brothers Hospital for the purchase of bedside kits for sick children and Illinois Department of Human Services for early childhood intervention work.
