Get Democrats out of Illinois politics

I am a lifelong, hard-core Democrat, born and raised in Illinois. These days, it is hard for me to fathom the full hatred I have for the Democratic Party in the state of Illi-“noise”.

You have robbed pensions, given us the machine politics of Daley and King Madigan, blessed us with Rod, and now your solution for our house of cards is expansion of gambling?

Of course, we wouldn’t want to take real responsibility for the budget. So while Illinois is at its work, why not legalize prostitution? Hey, it’s all about revenue. And lots of jobs! Put on a 50 percent state tax per trick.

How about legalizing murder for hire? You could sell permits for $10,000, of which $3,000 can go to the state as a murder tax.

If you’re looking for big bucks, how about drugs? I’m actually in favor of legalizing pot, but why stop there? Think of the revenue Illinois could generate selling coke and heroin.

Surely this would be enough to bloat our coffers. Who cares about the human toll. Just think of the jobs and the tax revenue. Really, we ought to make a list of things that are not taxed and start taxing them.

Last but not least, I just found out today that instead of adopting the Fair Map Amendment, Illinois will continue to redistrict using pure politics as its scalpel. The plan in my district is to split Antioch in half.

That’s the last straw. People in Antioch are used to local political scraps, but we don’t take too kindly to some politician trying to split us in two. So join me lifelong Democrats:

I ___________, do solemnly swear, for the rest of my life, to never, ever, EVER vote for another Democrat for state office for the rest of my life.

Gosh, that felt good. You can do it, too.
