Chicago Sky game day

Chicago Sky (1-1) at Washington Mystics (1-1)

When: 6 p.m., today

Where: Verizon Center

TV: Comcast CN100

Last time: On Friday, the Sky defeated the Connecticut Sun, 78-75; on Thursday, the Mystics defeated the Atlanta Dream, 98-90.

Skinny: It’s a quick, exhausting turnaround for the Sky, which is coming off the high of winning its home opener on Friday night against the Connecticut Sun in dramatic fashion. The Sky took a 6 a.m. flight out of Chicago and will try to find the energy to get a win in the second game of a brutal back-to-back. The Mystics are coming off a high of their own. They beat the defending Eastern Conference champion Atlanta Dream on Thursday. The only difference is that they’ve had a day to catch their breath. Sky center Sylvia Fowles is coming off a monster 23-point, 13-rebound effort against the Connecticut Sun. But Fowles wasn’t the Sky’s only meal ticket. Rookie point guard Courtney Vandersloot poured in 18 points and rolled up 5 assists.

Next: New York Liberty at Sky, 7:30 p.m., Friday
