Village administrator’s contract OK’d in North Aurora
North Aurora Village Administrator Wes Kornowske will be eligible for annual merit-based pay raises under a contract the village board approved this week.
He also will not be required to live in North Aurora.
Kornowske’s salary was set at $91,395 annually. He is eligible for annual merit raises of up to $10,000, based on his grade on an annual performance review.
The contract expires May 31, 2013. If he quits to become a village administrator elsewhere, he must give the village 60 days notice. If it is for another job, Kornowske must give 30 days notice.
If the village fires him other than for cause, he is due six months’ salary.
He will receive three weeks vacation a year. Any unused vacation, and unused sick time will be paid when he leaves the village’s employ.
His pay cannot be reduced unless all village workers’ pay is being reduced across the board.
