ComEd increase, Dream Act are nightmares

We need to remember the voting that took place over the Memorial Day holiday weekend when it comes time for re-election.

The state passed the Dream Act, voted for the ComEd rate increase and voted to increase gambling. The existing riverboats are making less and less due to the downturn in the economy. This will impact Elgin.

ComEd’s parent company made billions. Shouldn’t they have to invest some of their profit, instead of going to their customers? Don’t even get me going on the Dream Act — it’s a nightmare. And let’s not forget that we also just had the biggest tax increase.

Are they are ever going to admit when they exceed the spending cap and the tax increase can be rolled back? They will hide it behind some questionable accounting practices. I can tell you these legislators are not voting the voice of any people I know. Let’s honor our veterans and the freedom they fight for by exercising our right to vote these people out of office.
