2 young girls wounded in shooting at Chicago park
Police in Chicago are investigating a drive-by shooting that wounded two girls playing in a park on the city's northwest side.
Officials say a 7-year-old girl was shot in the back and a 2-year-old girl suffered a graze wound to the head. They're hospitalized at Children's Memorial Hospital.
The shooting happened before 8 p.m. Wednesday near Avondale Park.
Albany Park District Cmdr. Melissa Staples says the girls were hit when someone got out of a van and fired shots at a group of people playing basketball.
