Personal from Bill's Village Marathon station at the intersection of Greenleaf Avenue and Busse Road sit idle as Elk Grove fire department personnel check the area with gas sniffing devices to make sure all is clear. They were evacuated about 8:54am as they smelled a strong odor of gas while crews worked to shut off the gas.

A car crashed into a home at the intersection of Fox Chase Boulevard and Huntington Road in St. Charles. The was car traveling on Fox Chase Boulevard and appeared to miss the turn onto Huntington Road, drove over the lawn, missing several trees, then crashed into cars on the driveway. The car then crashed into the garage door of the home, coming to rest partially in the garage, trapping the homeowners third car inside. None of the homes residents were injured in the incident.
