Barrington area Home Schoolers Group to host Kids Toy Sale
On Thursday, June 16, and Friday, June 17, members of the Barrington Area Home Schoolers group will host its seventh annual Kids Toy Sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 4611 Burman Drive in Crystal Lake. Since 2004, the Barrington Area Home Schoolers have made tremendous contributions over $10,000 to Bright Hope and the project in Haiti they support.
All proceeds from the toy sale will go to feed students at the Mayaya School in Haiti through Bright Hope. Last year, the Kids Toy Sale raised enough money to feed and educate children for an entire year at Mayaya. For every $102 raised, Barrington Area Home Schoolers through Bright Hope will be able to feed one student for a year. $4,766 will support the entire school.
Tax-deductible donations such as gently-used toys, books, clothing, and other children’s items may be dropped off during the following dates and times: 10 a.m.-noon and 2-4 p.m. June 13-15. Items may be dropped off at 4611 Burman Drive in Crystal Lake. Please call Sherry Bennett at (815) 444-8183 for questions about dropping off toys.
The Barrington Area Home Schoolers mission is to strengthen Christian home school families by fostering relationships, providing activities, and inspiring learning. For information on BAHS, contact Tammy Massey at (847) 836-2347 or godskd2@yahoo.com.
