Grateful for Mom’s former co-workers

In today’s world you hear so many negative comments regarding large companies and how they don’t care for their employees. Well that is not the case at the Daily Herald.

For over 20 years our mom, Elaine Post, worked in the classifield/service directory section of the paper. She loved her job and her co-workers. She retired a few years ago.

On May 15, 2011 our mom passed away. Not only did the Classified Department send flowers, but many of Mom’s fellow co-workers came to her visitation and funeral. Even Bob Paddock Jr. (member of the Paddock Publications’ family) came and shared his love and support. The day of our mom’s funeral, the Daily Herald ran a beautiful tribute (written by Eileen O. Daday).

Now we know why our mom always loved her job and loved the company as well. Thank you Daily Herald for being a company that cares.
