Don’t confuse parent, government’s role

Your view is a bit misguided when it comes to revealing the probable locations of firearms. The criminals are better strategists than you give them credit for.

Read several interviews of convicted felons and you will get to know this. Your other side of the coin is reflective of current socialist-think: Let the government take care of us (because we either can’t be bothered or won’t?).

How about using the good old way of finding out about the family of your child’s friend: Go meet them, in person, not via Facebook. This time-honored tactic has served generations very well. If a parent is concerned about the morals and ethics and values of the families of their children’s friends (and they should be), just pay a social call on them.

Get to know them and ask them about their values. This is a personal responsibility as a parent, not the responsibility of a socialistic government. Government’s only responsibility should be to do for the people what they cannot do for themselves.
