Palatine Chamber seeking artists for “Chillin’” community art project

The Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce is seeking artists to participate in its 2011 community art initiative, Chillin’ in Palatine.

Wooden ice chests decorated by local artists will be displayed throughout Palatine from Aug. 21 to Sept. 30 and then auctioned to the public on Oct. 13.

Interested artists need to submit a rendering of their design. Those selected will be recognized with a plaque on their piece, a listing on the Chillin’ in Palatine map and biography in the public auction program book.
