City reminds residents of amplification related to Relay for Life of South Naperville event

Event Takes Place from 6 p.m. on Friday, June 3 to 6 a.m. on Saturday, June 4

The City of Naperville reminds all residents and interested parties of the upcoming amplification hours that will be in effect for the Relay for Life of South Naperville taking place from 6 p.m. on Friday, June 3 to 6 a.m. on Saturday June 4 at Neuqua Valley High School, 2360 95th St.

Residents in and around this area are advised that amplification between the hours of 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. will be occurring. The event's music and announcement volume will be lowered at 10 p.m., which is when a typical amplifier permit would expire; however, due to the unique nature of this all-night event, music and announcements will remain ongoing through 6 a.m.

The Relay for Life is an opportunity for participants to come together to remember loved ones lost to cancer and honor those who have won their battle against the disease, as well as raise funds to support the American Cancer Society. Naperville has hosted Relay for Life events since 2003; a second event will take place on June 11 at Naperville North High School.
