Van rolls over on I-90 in Elgin

A van containing 11 people rolled over about 7:30 a.m. Saturday on eastbound I-90 near Tyrrell Road in Elgin after a car cut it off, Illinois State Police said.

The occupants suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Seven were taken to Provena St. Joseph and Sherman hospitals in Elgin, according to police.

No tickets have been issued.

It was foggy, but it is not known if that contributed to the crash, according to police.

Tyrrell Road is west of Randall Road.

Police said they didn’t expect any further information to be available Saturday.
