Village reminds residents of solicitation regulations
LOMBARD, Illinois—The Village of Lombard wishes to remind residents of their rights when it comes to solicitors and peddlers.
Those who are approved to solicit within the Village of Lombard must wear a badge from the Village stating their name, company they are soliciting for and the dates they can solicit.
Village code states that individuals can solicit/peddle between the hours of 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. This activity is not allowed on Sundays or holidays.
Interaction with the solicitors and/or peddlers is at the discretion of the residents.
If a solicitor/peddler does not leave the premises immediately upon being asked, residents have the right to call 911 for assistance.
“No Solicitors or Peddlers” stickers are available at the Village Hall for 50 cents.
