Eagle Brook golf course vandalized
Vandals had their way with the Eagle Brook Country Club last weekend.
Between 9 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Saturday, they scattered “alcoholic beverage containers” around six holes, according to a Geneva police report.
They also threw tee markers and stakes that mark hazardous areas into ponds, tipped over divot repair boxes and uprooted fresh sod in areas that were under repair.
Two flagsticks with range prisms were taken, two metal golf ball washers were damaged, a clock signage marquee was uprooted and a wooden bench was damaged.
The report didn’t give a value on the damage. Club manager Bob Hon described it as “minor.”
“It did not stop play at all,” he said. “It’s just an aggravation.”
The 18-hole course, at 2288 Fargo Blvd., is part of the Eagle Brook housing subdivision.
