Build a banana split for a good cause

The Boys and Girls Club of Elgin is in need of new sporting equipment for the kids. So, Dr. Dana Landin of Landin Chiropractic Care has teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club of Elgin to raise money for this equipment.

Landin Chiropractic will be hosting its third annual 30-Foot Long Banana Split event from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7 at the center, 1990 Larkin Ave. in Elgin. They will have a 50/50 raffle to benefit the Boys and Girls Club of Elgin. Everyone interested in attending, RSVP by calling (224) 856-5617.

Attendees are asked to bring one half-gallon of vanilla ice cream, per family as their entrance fee. In addition to the memorable construction of the Banana Split, families can enjoy a live DJ, face painting, children’s moon bounce, games, and prizes donated from local businesses.

Event parking is located in Lot F of Provena St. Joseph Hospital. For details, call (224) 856-5617.
