“On My Honor”—Elgin Volunteers Join Girl Scout Government!
Three Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois (GSNI) volunteers from Elgin were elected to several important governing positions during the organization's annual meeting on April 16. Susan Angell-Case was voted on to the GSNI Board Development Committee, and Vicki Wright and Amy Zapata accepted positions as National Council Delegates.
GSNI Board Development Committee
Susan Angell-Case is employed as an independent contractor and licensed as a realtor selling both residential and commercial real estate. Her community affiliations include Board of Directors Secretary for PADS of Elgin, Inc., Executive Committee and Membership Vice-Chair for the Elgin Area Chamber of Commerce, and Chair for the Goodwill Network, North Randall Office and Corporate Advisory Committee member.
GSNI National Council Delegates
Vicki Wright is currently employed as CEO of Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois. She was previously employed as a YWCA CEO. Wright has over 30 years experience in multiple Girl Scout councils and as Girl Scouts of the USA National Headquarters Staff.
Amy Zapata is employed as a 5th Grade Teacher's Aide at St. John's Lutheran School. She has been active in several community organizations including Children's Theatre of Elgin, Elgin American Little League and Elgin National Little League.
