Cougars win 4-3 in 13
BELOIT, Wis. — The Kane County Cougars put in plenty of overtime Friday night, earning a 4-3 win over the Beloit Snappers in 13 innings that took 3 hours and 41 minutes at Pohlman Field.
Travis Jones drew a bases-loaded walk in the 13th to force in what proved to be the game-winning run.
Geulin Beltre of the Cougars (16-26) had a homer, triple and double, Leonel Santiago tossed his seventh quality start and reliever Dusty Odenbach fanned six over 3⅓ innings to earn the win.
Beltre homered in the fifth and singled home Lane Adams in the seventh to make it 2-0.
Santiago allowed 3 hits in 7 innings with y strikeouts.
