2 Navy rear admirals to be honored at AirFest

ROCKFORD — Two U.S. Navy rear admirals will be honored at this year's Rockford AirFest, which has the theme "Honoring Heroes."

Rear Adm. Paul Grosklags, a DeKalb native, and Rear Adm. William Lescher, a native of Highland Park, will be the honorary chairmen at next month's AirFest. Each have about 30 years of service. Rear admiral is the third-highest rank in the Navy.

The AirFest is June 4 and 5 at Chicago Rockford International Airport. It will feature more than a dozen military and civilian performers. The headliner is the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
