Car crashes through window at Hanover Park restaurant
Two diners inside a Hanover Park restaurant escaped unharmed Wednesday after a car driven by an unlicensed Hoffman Estates woman crashed through the front window, officials said.Police said 25-year-old Yury Carias was in the parking lot of Adamo#146;s Pizza, 2021 Irving Park Road, at about 1:20 p.m. when she failed to brake her 2003 Dodge Stratus, drove over a wheel stop and then across a sidewalk before crashing through the pizzeria#146;s front glass window.
When police arrived the car was partially inside the restaurant against a table.
Carias, of the 500 block of Glendale Lane, was not injured in the crash, but was ticketed for not having a valid diver#146;s license, police said. She was released on a $150 bond.
Neither patron inside the restaurant when the car crashed through the window was struck or injured, according to police.
