Short plays in Elgin

Janus Theatre hosts its second annual short-play festival showcasing works by David Ives, a writer known for clever, deceptively demanding plays like #8220;The Sure Thing,#8221; chronicling a man and woman's first meeting; #8220;The Universal Language,#8221; in which a couple communicates using invented speech; and #8220;The Philadelphia,#8221; about a guy having an incredibly frustrating day. Writers' premiere
