Kung Fu Panda 2 "Po" to visit Charlestowne 18

The Charlestowne 18 Theatre celebrates opening day of "Kung Fu Panda 2" on Thursday, May 26 at midnight, with local martial arts schools, and even “Po” the Panda will get into the act!

The Charlestowne 18, located at 3740 E. Main St. in St. Charles, has invited some Fox Valley martial arts instructors to demonstrate several of the moves that made “Po” famous in the original Kung Fu Panda, right in the lobby of the theater.

Customers are encouraged to come early to observe and interact with the martial artists on the following dates for these fun and educational demonstrations:

• Thursday, May 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. with Bill Cho's United Tae Kwon Do Center

• Saturday, May 28 from 2 to 5 p.m. with Kyuki-Do Martial Arts with a special appearance from costume character “Po!”

• Sunday, May 29, from 2 to 6 p.m. with Gia-Co Martial Arts

Customers are encouraged to bring their cameras to take a photo of their children with “Po” on Saturday, May 28, from 2 to 5 p.m.
