Interactive brush collection map available online
Map is Updated Three Times a Day to Provide Timely Collection Updates
The City of Naperville is pleased to announce that residents can now view an interactive brush collection program map on the city's website at www.naperville.il.us/brushcollection.aspx.
This map is updated in the morning, early afternoon and late afternoon each weekday to provide timely updates on the status of brush collection throughout the city.
The map allows users to zoom in on an area of interest and see detail on the streets where collection has been completed, in progress or has yet to begin. The Department of Public Works intends to use similar maps in the future to show progress on fall leaf collection and winter snow removal operations.
In May, City of Naperville residents have the opportunity to dispose of large quantities of unbundled branches and tree trimmings at no cost.
The city is divided into four collection districts identified by residents' garbage collection days. Each district collection begins on Monday and takes one full week to complete. The 2011 brush collection schedule, along with collection specifications, is available to view at www.naperville.il.us/brushcollection.aspx.
